The G League’s OKC Blue were on the wrong side of a 123-99 loss to the Rip City Remix on Wednesday. The road defeat dropped their record to 2-8 in the regular season.
A fast start saw the Blue hold a 32-26 lead after the first quarter. They scored the first seven points in the first couple of minutes. A long break between games looked to do them some good. The second frame saw that script get flipped, though.
The Blue only had 26 points as the Remix outscored them by 10 points in the second frame. OKC was in a 62-58 deficit at the halftime break. Any goodwill they built up vanished into the air. The second half saw the scoreboard difference grow in size.
The Blue only had 23 points in the third quarter. They were in a 91-81 hole. For most of the final frame, that stayed at a double-digit difference. Rip City rattled off a 17-4 run in the final five minutes to put this one away. OKC trailed by as many as 24 points. It only had 18 points in the final frame.
The Blue shot 44% from the field and went 12-of-42 (28.6%) from 3. They shot 6-of-9 on free throws. They had 26 assists on 37 baskets. Six Blue players scored double-digit points.

Meanwhile, the Remix shot 46% from the field and went 14-of-44 (31.8%) from 3. They shot 14-of-16 on free throws. They had 28 assists on 43 baskets. Seven Remix players scored double-digit points.
