Greek-American journalist Trish Christakis has captured the internet’s attention after a photo of her reporting courtside during the NBA playoffs went viral, sparking a wave of admiration from basketball fans and social media users alike.

Reporting for CBS Miami, Christakis was covering the Miami Heat vs. Cleveland Cavaliers matchup at the Kaseya Center, during the first round of the NBA playoffs. Though the Heat were ultimately eliminated from the postseason, it was Christakis who ended up becoming the evening’s unexpected highlight.

The following day, on April 29, Christakis reflected on the season with gratitude, writing: “Year three! What a season for the Miami Heat, I’m grateful,” accompanied by a photo from the court that continued to attract attention online.
