Conference championships are up for grabs with just two days remaining until official NCAA Tournament bracket is announced on Selection Monday. With this in mind, Baseball America is presenting daily updates to its Field of 64 projections as of Saturday morning.
The SEC continues to lead the nation with 13 projected bids followed by the ACC with 10 bids. The Big 12 (eight), Big Ten (three), Sun Belt (three) and the Big East (three) also received three or more bids.
Additional Field of 64 notes:
Ole Miss, which was projected as a No. 2 seed on May 23, stepped into a hosting position after beating Arkansas, while Georgia Tech moved behind the hosting line and into a two-seed position.Â
UTRGV was the only at-large team included in our previous projected field to not make the most recent cut.Â
Connecticut entered the field.
No teams changed positions from a seeding standpoint.
Three league championships have already been decided with Holy Cross winning the Patriot League, Columbia winning the Ivy League and Houston Christian winning the Southland.
Below, you’ll find the complete Field of 64 as of Friday, May 23. Note that our projected hosts do not reflect the top 16 of our final Top 25 rankings and are instead a blend of standings and metrics.
