The Magic, who are 5.5-point favorites in Thursday’s NBA Berlin opener, have a trio of players who call Germany their home country in forward Tristan Da Silva and brothers Franz and Moritz Wagner. While not true home court advantage, Berlin fans might lean in Orlando’s direction against a Grizzlies team that is 1-4 over its past five road games. Memphis is also just 2-6 in its eight most recent contests and looking to keep pace in the crowded Western Conference.

Starting with a Dec. 20 win over the Utah Jazz (128-127 in OT), the Magic have alternated wins and losses for a stretch of 13 contests. The last time Orlando won or lost back-to-back contests was back-to-back setbacks to the New York Knicks and Denver Nuggets on Dec. 18 and 18, respectively. The Magic have a chance Thursday night to break that trend in the right away after defeating the New Orleans Pelicans (128-118) before making the trip to Germany.

The Magic and Grizzlies are set for an 8:15 p.m. ET start exclusively on Prime Video, which comes with a free trial for new users.
