The highlight of the night could very likely be the SPurs against the Timberwolves as both teams separated by 1.5 games in the standings with San Antonio in second and Minnesota in fourth. Both teams have an important guard who could miss the game as Stephon Castle of the sPurs is dealing with an illness and Timberwolves All-Star Anthony Edwards has foot injury that kept him out of his squad’s last two games.
The New York Knicks host the Phoenix Suns in a matchup of two teams currently fighting and jockeying for position in the standings. New York is third in the East, half a game behind the Boston Celtics in second and only one game ahead of the Toronto Raptors in fourth, and just two games up on fifth and sixth place, the Orlando Magic and Cleveland Cavaliers. Phoenix is one game behind the Los Angeles Lakers in sixth, and 1.5 games ahead of the Golden state Warriors in eighth. Both of those squads are also in action on Saturday, with the Lakers visiting the ninth-place Portland Trail Blazers, and the Warriors hosting the Charlotte Hornets.
