The Tennessee Titans have scheduled second, in-person interviews with two candidates as they continue to whittle down the options to fill their head-coach vacancy, multiple league sources told The Athletic.

Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy and Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley are slated for second interviews with Tennessee in the coming days. The team had also planned a second interview with former Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski, but he agreed to a deal with the Atlanta Falcons on Saturday.

Monday is the first day that coaches still employed by NFL teams can have in-person interviews for a vacancy.

Nagy, who overlapped with Titans GM Mike Borgonzi in Kansas City, spent four seasons as the head coach of the Chicago Bears, compiling a 34-31 record with two postseason appearances. Hafley also has a second in-person interview scheduled with the Miami Dolphins, whose new GM, Jon-Eric Sullivan, previously worked with Hafley in Green Bay.

Tennessee is still scheduled to interview several candidates for the first time this weekend, including former Dallas Cowboys and Packers head coach Mike McCarthy, former Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon and San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh, who formerly coached the New York Jets.

The Titans have been busy during this hiring cycle as they look to hire a new head coach for the sixth time in 16 years. Tennessee has had first-round interviews with the largest group of candidates among the nine teams that will hire new head coaches. The team was scheduled to meet with former Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh on Thursday, but he canceled the interview before finalizing a five-year deal with the New York Giants on Saturday. The Titans were the first team to fire their head coach this season, dismissing Brian Callahan in October.

Candidates who have spent time with Tennessee decision-makers have noted Borgonzi’s key role in the hiring process and the appeal of coaching 2025’s No. 1 pick, quarterback Cam Ward. The Titans have finished with three wins in each of the past two seasons and have the No. 4 pick in April’s draft.

Tennessee can make a head-coaching hire at any time, having satisfied the Rooney Rule interview requirements.
