Area Prep Basketball Report for Sunday, Jan. 18
Carver continued its hot streak Saturday, winning its sixth straight game with a 44-36 victory over McKinley.
Chesney Sadler led the Rams with 10 points, seven rebounds and five steals. Brian Burton finished with eight points and three steals and Rayheinz Henry added seven points and four assists.
Carver (9-9) opens District 10-4A play Thursday at home against New Orleans Science & Math.
In girls action, Dominican also remained hot, winning 37-24 at The Willow School.
It was the sixth win in seven games for Dominican.
Sophomore Addison Shannon led Dominican with 21 points.
Dominican (13-9) returns to District 9-5A play Thursday, hosting Karr.
The Lions (8-6) wll entertain St. Mary’s Academy Thursday.
