Deni Avdija led Portland (22-22) with 30 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists and Shaedon Sharpe added 27 points and seven rebounds as the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Sacramento Kings 117-110 Sunday evening at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.

The game was tied after the first quarter, but the Blazers used a 13-2 run in the second quarter to take a double-digit lead and controlled the game the rest of the way. With the win, Portland improved to 8-2 in their last 10 games and now 8-1 in the new year.

Donovan Clingan was dominant with 21 points and 17 rebounds and Toumani Camara added 17 points on 7-of-7 shooting.

With Avdija back in the lineup, the Trail Blazers rested Jrue Holiday, Robert Williams III, and Jerami Grant on the second night of a back-to-back.

Russell Westbrook led Sacramento (12-31) with 23 points and seven assists and Malik Monk added 23 points on 5-of-9 shooting from beyond-the-arc.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers will return to Portland to meet the Miami Heat on Thursday night. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.
