Jaden Bradley has shown an amazing knack for turning it on in the second half of games lately, taking over down the stretch in Arizona’s last game to avoid an upset at UCF.
The Big 12 Conference noticed, including Bradley on its weekly Starting Five list of top players in the league over the previous week.
Bradley, a 6-foot-3 senior, is averaging 14.1 points per game for the season and 15.8 in Big 12 play. He had 23 in Saturday’s 84-77 win at UCF, with 21 coming in the second half, and in conference action he’s averaging 11.4 after halftime.
Also honored was UCF’s Themus Fulks who scored a career-high 30 against Arizona, and Cincinnati forward Baba Miller, who averaged a double-double in two wins last week including one over then-No. 2 Iowa State.
Bradley is the first UA player to get honored by the Big 12 since Brayden Burries made the Starting Five in mid-December after his career-high 28 points against Alabama. Koa Peat has been honored three times, winning Newcomer of the Week twice and Player of the Week once.
