Los Angeles Lakers wing Dalton Knecht had an up and down rookie season in the NBA. Appearing in 78 games for Los Angeles, Knecht averaged 9.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.8 assists while converting on 37.6% of his 3-point attempts in 19.2 minutes per contest.

With a fluctuating role under first-year head coach JJ Redick, Knecht was in and out of the rotation for much of the season. On top of this, he was nearly traded to the Charlotte Hornets in February for center Mark Williams, but the deal was rescinded after Los Angeles failed the big man on his physical (via Shams Charania of ESPN).

Despite all this, Knecht had some very strong moments in his first season since being made the No. 17 overall pick out of Tennessee. That includes a 37-point performance against the Utah Jazz in November when he knocked down nine 3-pointers.

“WHERE IS KNECHT??????” another asked.

“Knecht should still be on here,” another stated.

“Knecht snub is a travesty, NBA hates on the mid-majors smh,” claimed another.
