In the 68-67 loss to the Ole Miss Rebels, Davis-Fleming nearly accomplished a double-double with 13 points and eight rebounds for the Bulldogs.
MSU head coach Chris Jans has watched his young player grow leaps and bounds since early in the season and thought the Canton native responded well in the rivalry situation.
Jans thought Davis-Fleming was playing so well against Ole Miss that he started the freshman in the second half.
