The Portland Trail Blazers have gone on to have a solid 2025 season so far as they have a 22-22 record, and have seen their young stars step up like Deni Avdija, Toumani Camara, and Donovan Clingan. While they are heading on the right track, they still need to do more to advance the team, and a way they can do so is by making trades at the NBA trade deadline.
*Prediction*
One player the Trail Blazers could end up looking to trade is Jerami Grant as he is still valuable, but doesn’t fit the young timeline of the Trail Blazers with being 31. If they make Grant available, a team that makes sense to trade for Grant is the Detroit Pistons.

Portland Trail Blazers Trade Jerami Grant to Detroit Pistons
The Detroit Pistons have had a successful 2025 season as they hold a 30-10 record, and sit as the best team in the Eastern Conference. The Pistons have a strong chance to make it all the way to the NBA Finals, but they should be looking to utilize the trade deadline to advance their roster and make sure they don’t fall short.
One area in which the Pistons could look to advance the team is by getting another player that can help in the scoring department as they need help there with the scoring behind Cade Cunningham being spotty. A way in which they can help this is by trading for a player that used to play for Detroit, and that is Jerami Grant.
Jerami Grant hasn’t played since October as he has been working himself back from suffering Achilles tendonitis, but he is close to returning, and that is great news right ahead of the trade deadline. When Grant was playing this season he was averaging 19.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game.
Over the 12 seasons that Jerami Grant has spent playing in the NBA, he has been consistent with providing an impact with his 3-and-D ability, and overall defensive versatility, which would go a long way in helping Detroit. Grant spent two season in Detroit before he was traded to the Trail Blazers, making a return extremely likely at the trade deadline as the Pistons are in a better spot than they were
