The Toronto Raptors (25-19) visit the Golden State Warriors (25-19) at Chase Center on Tuesday. Tip-off from San Francisco, California, is set for 10 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Raptors vs. Warriors odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: Toronto leads 1-0

Toronto was handed a 110-93 loss by the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, failing to cover as a 3-point road underdog while the Under (227.5) hit. The Raptors lost 48-43 on the glass and were held to just 7-of-32 (22%) shooting from long range. Toronto allowed 3 Lakers to finish with at least 24 points.

Golden State routed the Miami Heat 135-112 on Monday to cover as a 5-point home favorite with the Over (239.5) hitting. All was not good for the Warriors, however, as F Jimmy Butler III left in the third quarter with what is believed to be a season-ending torn ACL injury. Brandin Podziemski led the Warriors with 24 points off the bench and Stephen Curry finished with 19 points while hitting 5-of-10 threes in the win.

The Raptors beat the Warriors 141-127 in double overtime on Dec. 28, covering as 6.5-point home underdogs as the Over (233.5) cashed. Curry finished with 39 points but it wasn’t enough as Scottie Barnes finished with 23 points, 25 boards, and 10 assists with Immanuel Quickley putting up 27 points and Brandon Ingram adding 26.

PASS.

I lean toward the Raptors to cover here as +135 underdogs, but I prefer backing them against the spread as that bet is much safer. Golden State’s offense should be terrible with Butler out, as it already wasn’t good, but after losing his co-star, this is exactly the kind of game where Stephen Curry could go nuclear. Pass here and bet on the safer spread and/or total instead.

If you are fully confident in the Raptors to cover here, then they are worth a small wager here for the potential higher payout of the moneyline.

BET RAPTORS +3.5 (-110).

The Raptors have covered the spread in each of their last 3 matchups against the Warriors, also covering in each of the previous 2 meetings at Golden State.

Even if Stephen Curry does go crazy, the Raptors will be able to send multiple lengthy bodies at him late in the game as won’t care about leaving any of Golden State’s other guys open. Furthermore, the Warriors are a sloppy team, so look for Toronto to keep this one close by taking advantage and getting out in transition often.

LEAN OVER 226.5 (-105).

The Over has hit in each of Golden State’s last 3 games and is 25-19 for the Warriors this season. The Over has also hit in 7 of the last 10 matchups between these squads, including hitting the previous 4 matchups in California.

The Raptors have already proven that they can score at will against this Warriors squad with 140 in the first matchup, making the Over all the more likely with Golden State already without one of its key perimeter defenders in Butler.

This is a very slight lean because Golden State could very well struggle to score for the entirety of this game.
