Bryan Armetta shares his three favorite player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Tuesday’s seven-game NBA slate.

Anther week, another must-watch set of NBA games. Seven matchups between 14 teams make up tonight’s hoops action. That includes a battle between the 76ers and Suns in Philadelphia. Later, local rivals link up when the Spurs host the Rockets. Later tonight, the Lakers visit the shorthanded Nuggets in a potential playoff preview.

There’s plenty of basketball on tap, but which players can bettors trust (or fade)? Here are my three favorite NBA prop bet picks on DraftKings Sportsbook for Tuesday’s contests.

Top NBA prop bet picks

James Harden 10+ assists (+116)

Despite a nightmare start, the 19-23 Clippers remain alive in the Western Conference playoff chase. Still, a recent knee injury for Kawhi Leonard has left Los Angeles in a precarious spot. Without the two-time champion, James Harden is poised for an even larger share of LA’s offense tonight. That’s not the worst spot to be in; the former MVP remains a lethal play maker. Through 39 games, he’s averaging 26.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 8.1 assists while shooting 43% from the field (34% 3PT). No other healthy Clippers player is putting up more than 15.0 points or 3.5 assists a night.

Harden’s shooting can be somewhat erratic, even if he commands a large amount of touches. However, Tuesday’s matchup looks promising for the veteran. Chicago has allowed the fifth-most points (120.3) and fifth-most assists (27.8) per game to opponents this season. The Bulls also play at one of the NBA’s quickest paces on offense. In what could be a high-scoring affair, Harden should thrive. For an LA squad desperate for any victories, the guard should stay on the court for over 35 minutes, as well. At plus money, don’t be shocked if The Beard dishes out double-digit dimes tonight.

Victor Wembanyama under 23.5 points (-119)

In spite of injury issues, Victor Wembanyama continues to impress for the Spurs. The 22-year-old has only suited up for 29 of a potential 43 contests, but he’s made them count. During that time, the Frenchman has notched 24.8 points, 10.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. When the center is ‘on’, he’s almost impossible to guard. Wemby is shooting a career-best 40% from three-point range this season. That’s without mentioning his phenomenal work on the other end of the floor.

No matter how you slice it, Wembanyama is a difficult assignment for any team. Still, some squads are better equipped than others to slow down the superstar. The Rockets are big, stingy down low, and experienced in this matchup. Wemby has scored less than 24 points in four of his last five meetings with Houston. In addition, San Antonio has kept its face of the franchise on a minutes limit. The All-Star has reached the 28-minutes mark only twice over his last ten outings. That’s not ideal when facing off with one of the NBA’s most intimidating defensive units.

Deandre Ayton 23+ points + rebounds (-110)

For all his faults, Deandre Ayton has been a solid presence down low for the Lakers. This season, the former first overall pick has accounted for 14.2 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. He’s taken the court 36 times as well, crucial for a Los Angeles squad that has dealt with several key injuries. He may not wow most fans, but the Bahamian baller is one of the association’s more reliable centers. Head coach JJ Redick seems to agree, leaving Ayton on the floor for around 30 minutes on most nights.

A combination of decent production and reliable workload makes the 27-year-old a decent option for bettors. That’s especially true on Tuesday, when the Lakers travel to Colorado. The Nuggets remain without both Nikola Jokic (knee) and backup center Jonas Valanciunas (calf). Third-stringer Zeke Nnaji has been thrust into a starting role, and the results have been less than stellar. Denver has allowed the most points in the paint (64.7) and third-most rebounds (61.7) over its previous ten games. In comparison, Ayton has tallied at least 23 points + rebounds in 19 of his 36 appearances. Another productive stat line is more than likely this evening.
