LeBron James made the news for a funny incident (Image via NBA) LeBron James didn’t just defeat the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night, he also played tricks on them, turning a small hand gesture into the game’s biggest moment. At one point during the evening, King James was captured on camera staring toward Denver’s bench, grinning, and acting as though his hand was a jack-in-the-box, with his middle finger serving as the “jack.”Days had passed since the King debuted his brand-new Nike sneaker, which pays tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King. The year-long victory lap of James’ renowned footwear brand includes the famous colorways of the Nike LeBron 23. Unveiled as part of the Nike LeBron 23 line, the “Honour The King” sneaker honors both King and the motel in Memphis where he was murdered.
LeBron James trolls Nuggets bench with cheeky gesture days after Nike ‘Honour the King’ sneakers steal the spotlight
Before the game’s tip-off on Tuesday night, James made the decision to troll the opposing team’s bench during the Lakers’ road game against the Denver Nuggets. James approached the Nuggets bench prior to the start of the game and wrapped his fingers like a jack-in-a-box.His middle finger rose just a tiny bit when he did this. However, James stopped himself before he could completely flip them off, all the while grinning broadly. It wasn’t really a flip-off. But it wasn’t even coincidental. In fact, Jared Dudley, his former teammate and friend, is a familiar sight on that bench. The remainder of Denver’s bench didn’t blow out; instead, they seemed to either dismiss it or fail to notice. He let the internet take care of flipping people off instead of having to do it himself. Videos quickly went viral, sparking discussions on social media about the true meaning of his gesture.James may no longer give a damn about some of the gestures he makes on the court at the age of forty-one. What matters most, though, is that he is enjoying himself out there. James has just revealed the Nike LeBron 23 “Honour the King” colorway earlier this week. Despite the fact that James is known as “King,” this is actually a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Kicks claims that the sneaker’s striking teal color, which is similar to the colors of the famous motel, identifies another “King.” The sneaker’s main color is the well-known teal, but it also features a golden Nike check and gold embellishments on the tongue. The teal colorway was inspired by the Lorraine Motel, the site of the Civil Rights hero’s murder. It also honors the 2008 game against the Memphis Grizzlies in which James scored 51 points.
