BREAK IT DOWN:

(stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)

LaMelo Ball 20+ Points (+121): Despite playing 17 games in a row, the Hornets are seemingly still monitoring LaMelo Ball’s workload, as the former All-Star is logging just 25.3 minutes per contest in the month of January. Also, while Charlotte hasn’t had a game since Sunday, they are on the opening leg of a back-to-back set on Wednesday, with a date in Orlando on the calendar for tomorrow night. That should be a huge red flag for Ball overs. In the team’s back-to-back this past weekend, Ball came off the bench to play 20.9 minutes against the Warriors, then saw only 19.4 minutes versus the Nuggets. He scored 15 points and 10 points, respectively. At 32.7%, Ball owns the NBA’s sixth-highest usage rate. He can definitely put up some counting stats in a hurry. Yet this doesn’t feel like an ideal scenario.

Miles McBride 12+ Points (+135): This is an interesting one. McBride was amazing filling in for an injured Jalen Brunson last week, averaging 24.0 points and shooting 52.9% from the field in a pair of starts. However, as soon as Brunson returned on Monday, McBride moved back to the bench and was held to only five points. For the season as a whole, the guard is producing 15.8 points per contest in the starting five, compared to only 11.0 as a reserve. That said, it’s not like McBride didn’t have an opportunity to shine. The 25-year-old led all Knicks reserves in minutes (26.8) and field goal attempts (8), he just happened to miss seven of those shots. At plus-money, in a matchup with a Nets squad that owns the league’s fifth-worst defensive rating (117.4), I don’t mind taking a flier on this prop.

Evan Mobley Double-Double, Yes (+168): Here’s my first thought: Evan Mobley has played 307 games in the NBA. His career-high in assists is eight. So, when you’re backing him to have a double-double on Wednesday night, what you’re really doing is predicting that he’ll grab 10 rebounds — so you might as well just bet that at +175. For a breakdown of more recent stats, Mobley does have 15 double-doubles in 2025-26, but only one has come in Cleveland’s past eight contests. His opponent, the Hornets, also possess the league’s second-best total rebounding rate (53.4%). It’s not like many have been able to bully Charlotte in the paint or on the glass this season. However, they’ve yet to contend with Mobley, as the reigning Defensive Player of the Year missed both matchups in December due to injury.

3-Pick Parlay

Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a parlay and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.

LaMelo Ball 20+ Points (+121)

Miles McBride 12+ Points (+135)

Evan Mobley Double-Double, Yes (+168)

Parlay Odds: +1113
