The Los Angeles Lakers started their eight-game road trip in impressive fashion on Tuesday with a 115-107 win over the Denver Nuggets. After trailing 71-57 at halftime, they outscored the Nuggets 58-36 in the second half, and they got 38 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists from Luka Doncic while improving to 26-16 overall.
They will return to the Los Angeles area to face the Los Angeles Clippers at the Intuit Dome on Thursday. While the Clippers have a subpar 19-24 record, they have been hot lately and have won 13 of their last 16 games.
The Lakers’ injury report for Thursday’s game is the same as it was for Tuesday’s contest. Austin Reaves is still out with a gastrocnemius strain, while rookie forward Adou Thiero is still recovering from an MCL sprain.
Lakers coach JJ Redick said on Tuesday that Reaves is progressing well and is expected to return to action at some point during this road trip. The team will not return to Crypto.com Arena until Feb. 5, when it will host the Philadelphia 76ers.
