While it might be hard to believe given how hard it is for players in the backcourt to make it at the NBA level without being at least six feet tall, there was a moment not all that long ago in Boston Celtics history where their unexpected star point guard Isaiah Thomas took over the league in dramatic fashion despite standing at just 5-foot-9.

The King in the Fourth, as Thomas was affectionately known as a ‘Game of Thrones’ -inspired nickname, finished in the top five of that season’s voting for the Most Valuable Player award, and he was by no means there as a novelty vote. IT was devastating to opposing defenses, and captivated a Celtics fan base in the thick of the rebuild that would one day pay off with Boston’s next title.
