Chicago enters the contest having won three of its last four games and two in a row, both in emphatic fashion. After beating the Brooklyn Nets 124-102, the Bulls defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 138-110. Seven different Chicago players scored in double digits, led by Coby White’s 27-point effort. As a team, the Bulls shot 56.5% from the field and a scorching 53.2% from the 3-point line, making 25 for the game. Tre Jones nearly posted a triple-double off the bench, scoring 15 points to go with eight rebounds and 10 assists, posting a game-high plus-32.

The Timberwolves have hit a rough patch as of late, losing three consecutive close games to the Houston Rockets, the San Antonio Spurs, and, most recently, the Utah Jazz. The 127-122 loss to the Jazz was particularly concerning in that Minnesota couldn’t seal the game in the fourth quarter. Holding a 12-point lead heading into the final frame, the Timberwolves went ice cold, shooting just 30% from the field, while allowing the Jazz to shoot 68%.
