The Chicago Bulls have not been able to get much team success, but there are a few players who are stepping up in the first half of the season. There is a lot of talent in the conference, and some surprise players could be named to the All-Star roster. One Chicago Bulls player has a legitimate chance to be named as one of the reserves, so let’s take a closer look at who it is and what he has done so far this year.
Chicago Bulls guard Josh Giddey is predicted to be named an All-Star this season

The NBA staff wrote an article where they predicted the Eastern Conference All-Star reserves. Two of the four writers selected Josh Giddey as one of the seven reserves for the conference. Steve Aschburner even listed him as his toughest decision to make the reserves. Below is what he said about the decision to put Giddey on his list of reserves:
“Look, I’ve never subscribed to the coach-driven perspective about “rewarding winning” for the All-Star Game. Rewarding winning is what the regular season and the playoffs are about. Siakam is a pedigreed, talented player we watched in the NBA Finals just seven months ago, currently stuck in an Indiana gap year not of his doing. Giddey’s hamstring injury has bumped him off most folks’ radar, but his near triple-double work for the Bulls (19.2 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 9 apg) has been a breakthrough worthy of this opportunity — assuming he’s healthy by mid-February.”
Giddey returned to the court on Thursday after not playing since Dec. 29 due to a hamstring injury. Entering Thursday’s action, he averaged 19.2 points, 8.9 rebounds, 9.0 assists, and 0.9 steals with a 46.6/38.6/76.1 shooting split in 32.8 minutes per game. Giddey has never made an All-Star appearance in his first four seasons in the league. The NBA All-Star reserves will be named on Sunday, Feb. 1 at 6 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. It will be interesting to see if Giddey will have enough support to make the 2026 NBA All-Star Game roster.
