Charlotte Hornets rookie Liam McNeeley produced another double-digit-scoring effort in the G League on Friday, helping the Greensboro Swarm to a road win over the Maine Celtics.
McNeeley finished with 19 points, seven assists and four rebounds in the 122-112 victory at the Portland Expo Building. He went 6-of-12 from the field, including 2-of-4 from 3-point range, and was a plus-12 in 36 minutes, 40 seconds of action.
The 29th pick tallied 10 points in the second half, ensuring the Swarm held on to win their fourth straight game. He converted several tough finishes at the rim for and-1 opportunities, while also mixing in a couple of long-range 3-pointers during his time on the court.
McNeeley has played sporadically with the Hornets, averaging 4.3 points and 2.2 rebounds in 27 games. The team has periodically assigned him to the Swarm to log extended playing time and work on various elements of his game on the court.
The 20-year-old is averaging 20.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists on 43.2% shooting from the field in nine appearances with the Swarm. He has scored at least 20 points five times, including a 27-point effort on Dec. 27 in a win over the Iowa Wolves.

McNeeley has played at a high level with the Swarm, showcasing his playmaking and scoring. The organization has liked the way he has performed and will continue to explore opportunities for him in the G League as part of his development plan.
