NCAA.com college basketball analyst Andy Katz recently gave his updated, early rankings for the 2025-26 season.

Katz released his latest Power 37 rankings and put Clemson at No. 36, ahead of Memphis at No. 37.

Purdue is No. 1 in Katz’s rankings, with Houston, St. John’s, UConn and Duke rounding out the top five.

Along with Clemson and Duke, the other ACC teams in the rankings include Louisville (No. 10), North Carolina (No. 29), Miami (No. 33) and NC State (No. 34).

Clemson is coming off a school-record 27 wins during the 2024-25 season, which saw the Tigers earn the No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament Midwest Region before falling to 12th-seeded McNeese in the first round.

During the regular season, Clemson earned wins over AP Top 5 Kentucky and Duke, and Clemson finished 18-2 in the ACC – the most conference wins in school history, including a record 15 by double-digits (third-most in ACC history). The Tigers finished 9-1 on the road in league play, four more ACC road wins than any previous season.
