Season series: Cavaliers lead 1-0

The Cavs won 119-105 on Saturday as a 1-point underdog as the Under (226.5) cashed in the front end of the home-and-home series. G Donovan Mitchell went for 36 points on 15-of-30 shooting, adding 9 assists, 5 rebounds and 2 steals. G Jaylon Tyson went for 17 points, while F Evan Mobley was good for 13 points, 7 boards and 3 dimes. The Magic have dropped 3 in a row, and they’ve failed to cover in those 3 losses, too, while the Under has hit in the past 2 outings. Orlando is just 2-6 ATS in the previous 8 games, and 3-9 ATS across the past 12 games, while the Under is 10-6 across the previous 16 contests.

Magic at Cavaliers picks and predictionsPrediction

Cavaliers 117, Magic 106

The Cavaliers (-225) will cost you more than 2 times your potential return. While Cleveland is playing much better basketball lately, and Orlando might be running on fumes after a trip last week to Europe for 2 games, it is still a little too steep to back the Cavs at this price for a straight up bet. However, if you were to throw Cleveland into a multi-leg parlay, that’s perfectly fine.

PASS for a straight up, non-parlay play.

The CAVALIERS -5.5 (-110) are the lean, but go with a half-unit play at best, especially with Franz Wagner sidelined.

Cleveland has had a lot of trouble stacking covers this season, although it is 4-2 ATS in the past 6 games. Still, it is 17-30 ATS this season.

Orlando is struggling against the number lately, though, going 0-3 ATS in the past 3 games, including the first meeting with Cleveland Saturday, while going 3-9 ATS across the past 12 outings.

The UNDER 227.5 (-110) is the way to go in Monday’s rematch.

The Under has hit in 2 in a row for the Magic, while cashing at a 10-6 clip across the previous 16 outings.

While the Under and Over have alternated in the past 8 games for the Cavs, the Under has a 9-6 edge in the previous 15 contests.
