After a gauntlet of a schedule over the last week or so for the Houston Rockets, they’ll take on a clearly inferior Memphis Grizzlies squad on Monday night. The Grizzlies really lacking an identity right now and could move on from point guard Ja Morant, who seemingly has one foot out of Memphis, imminently.

Barring an uncharacteristically cold shooting night from the Rockets or a dominant two-way showing from Grizzlies star big man Jaren Jackson Jr., Houston will balloon its current winning streak.

At present, the Rockets have a 27-16 record, which puts them in the Western Conference standings’ fourth-place slot.

The Grizzlies are the owners of an 18-25 record and two-game losing streak, good enough for 11th in the Western Conference.

Houston beat the Detroit Pistons (111-104) on the road.

Memphis lost to the New Orleans Pelicans (133-127) at home.

For Memphis, while the team hasn’t released its injury report just yet, floor general Ja Morant can already be ruled as a scratch for the game with an elbow injury. The Grizzlies announced recently that his status will be re-evaluated in three weeks.

For Houston, Aaron Holiday (back spasms) is probable, Fred VanVleet (ACL repair) is out and Steven Adams (left ankle sprain) is out.
