LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Nebraska men’s basketball team continues to dominate in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll, released Monday.
The Huskers are now ranked No. 5, making this ranking the highest in program history.
The Huskers were No. 7 in last week’s poll and advanced following losses by Purdue and Houston.
Nebraska carries a 20-0 record into this week’s action, which includes a showdown against 3rd-ranked Michigan. The teams play Tuesday night in Ann Arbor.
Fred Hoiberg’s team has been the surprise story across college basketball this season. The Huskers were picked 14th in the Big Ten preseason poll with low to moderate expectations. Now, Nebraska enters the final week of January as one of three remaining undefeated Division-I teams.
