Making the case for Devin Booker to go to the 2025-26 NBA All-Star Game:
The real case starts with control. Phoenix didn’t just win games early this season; they dictated them. Devin Booker has been the Suns’ emotional and on-court leader, with his elite mid-range shooting. His scoring numbers matter, but his command of the franchise matters more. The Suns look organized when he’s on the floor, and without him, they are missing the biggest piece of the puzzle.

Before spraining his ankle in Atlanta, Booker was trending toward one of his most complete seasons with high-efficiency scoring, improved playmaking reads, and defensive engagement that doesn’t show up in box scores but shows up in wins. Phoenix’s offensive rating spikes with him on the court, and their turnover rate drops, a quiet but decisive edge for a team with playoff expectations. Booker, currently in the 2025-26 season, is averaging 25.6 points and 6.2 assists, which places him in the top 20 in both categories.

Context matters in All-Star debates, and the Western Conference guard race is thinning. Jalen Green’s injury removes a volume scorer from the mix of what Phoenix could do on offense, leaving the work for Booker to take care of. Others have flash, but fewer have Booker’s nightly responsibility of leading, absorbing defensive attention, and still delivering when it matters.
