A former Penn State big man achieved an honor in his rookie year in the NBA.

Yanic Konan Niederhauser was named to the 2026 NBA Castrol Rising Stars G League roster, which was announced Monday night.

After getting drafted in the first round of the 2025 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers, Konan Niederhauser has spent time with the Clippers and their G League affiliate, the San Diego Clippers.

This season, Konan Niederhauser has appeared in 25 NBA games, averaging 3.6 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. He’s set career highs of 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Konan Niederhauser has played in eight G League games, averaging 14.5 points and 9.5 rebounds.

The former Nittany Lion was the program’s first-ever Round 1 draft pick. He played one season with Penn State in 2024-25, averaging 12.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game.
