The Los Angeles Clippers started the 2025-2026 NBA Season as a complete dumpster fire.

In the first 27 games of the regular season, the Clippers were able to win just 6 of them, good for an atrocious (6-21) record. The Clippers seemed destined for the NBA Draft Lottery as a bottom feeder in the Western Conference just shy of the half way point for the NBA regular season.

Clippers have bounced back after a slow start to the season

Don’t look now, but Kawhi Leonard, James Harden and the crew have turned things around out in LA.

The Clippers have gone streaking! Over the last 19 games, the Clippers have a record of 16-3. In that span, they have the No. 2 offense in the entire NBA, the 5th best defense, and the 2nd best Net Rating.

Led by Leonard, who continues to be an enigma and the literal definition of Jekyll and Hyde. When Kawhi is on and playing nightly, there is still arguably no player on the planet who is better than him.

During this time period where the team has won 16 of its last 19 games, Leonard has been putting up All NBA numbers, averaging 32 points, 7 rebounds , 4 assists and 2.5 steals per game while shooting 51% from the field and 43% from three.

The Clippers still have work to do, as they now currently sit in 10th place in the Western Conference, which would put them in as one of the NBA Play-In game teams, vying for the final two spots in the western conference playoffs.

The Clippers tend to do this though, as we have seen them put together stretches of looking like an elite team, only to have an injury or some type of disappointment bring it to an abrupt stop.

But, just for fun, if things wind up ending how they currently stand today, we could see one heck of a first-round matchup in the NBA playoffs. The Oklahoma City Thunder could draw the Los Angeles Clippers if the Clippers are able to advance past the play-in. The team that shipped off Shai Gilgeous Alexander to OKC from LA once upon a time.

For now, we should hold our breath on that pipe dream, given the unreliable nature of the Clippers. But hey, a basketball fan can hope, right?
