Cooper Flagg is questionable for the Mavericks’ upcoming game against the Timberwolves. The questionable status is due to managing a previous left ankle injury.Flagg initially injured his ankle on January 14th against the Denver Nuggets.
After likely missing the game against the Milwaukee Bucks, which was cancelled due to winter weather on Sunday, Cooper Flagg is once again listed as questionable ahead of the Dallas Mavericks matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night.
The rookie and No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft tweaked his ankle in a loss to the Denver Nuggets on Jan. 14, causing him to miss the next two games. Flagg returned in the Mavericks’ victory over the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden on Jan. 19, scoring 18 points, and also played in the ensuing two games against Golden State and the Los Angeles Lakers.
The reason for his questionable status isn’t due to a new injury, but rather the management of the left ankle injury he suffered against the Nuggets.
In 43 games this season, Flagg is averaging 18.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists.
