All right, everybody, look, it’s carnival season, right? And of course, here in New Orleans, we talk about King Cakes, we talk about, of course, all the fun festivities happening, Mardi Gras, but there’s also one timeless tradition here in New Orleans. Can we just go and show them right now, everybody? We’re talking about the King Cake Baby who is joining us here on set here on WDSU having *** good time here. This is how you really fully know that carnival season is here. We’re joined by the King Cake Baby and also Means that the Pelicans are having something special happening. And joining us to talk all about this with the King Cake Baby is Jordan, one of the awesome cheerleaders for the New Orleans Pelicans. Jordan, thank you all so much for joining me. Really appreciate you. Thank you I appreciate you. Thank you for having us. So the game on Friday, you’re taking on the Memphis Grizzlies for their carnival party game. All right, so, for our viewers, what can we expect for this? So there’s *** lot of fun activities planned. You’re gonna wanna get there early because we have *** pregame. Happy Hour with some of your favorite Mardi Gras crews also going on pregame. If you head up to Section 105, you’ll find King Cake Baby. You wanna make sure you get your picture with him before the carnival season’s over with. Absolutely. And also there’s some kind of cool you guys have here. There’s some things that folks can come away with during the game. Kind of show us this gnome you guys have right here. So this will be the giveaway, um, for the game on Friday. You wanna make sure that you get there early. So you can get one while supplies last. Super cool. Very nice, no. Also, tickets are on sale for 30 bucks for this game, by the way, so kinda tell me how excited it is to have some affordable tickets. *** lot of folks can come out, have *** great time. Talk about how important this is for the New Orleans Pelicans. There’s no reason not to come to the game on Friday, especially coming off of this road trip. Y’all wanna, we wanna see y’all there because it really helps the team and the whole environment of the arena is just so much more exciting when the fans are there and it’s packed with everybody. The Pelicans will have the King Cake Baby doing *** bunch of photo ops with *** lot of people all throughout, uh, the Smoothie King Center. Well, he’s only here for Mardi Gras season, so you wanna make sure that you can catch him and get your picture with him while you can, so that’s very important. Absolutely. And look, the Pelicans, look, they won, uh, they were 2 and 1 overall on the, on the road. Uh, they lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder, but hey, that was the defending champions. It happens. But so far, so good. Hopefully some good morale heading into *** big game on Friday, right? Yes, absolutely. So, hey, we gotta see the king cake baby. We gotta see the whole fit. So anything new with the king cake baby this year, or the bab looks newer. We got the, oh, he got *** whole new glow up this year. You see the new crown, new diaper. He’s nice and shiny. He’s looking wonderful this season. Yeah, he, he also smells like baby lotion. OK, so, so the smell it real good. The diaper is nice and fresh, so he’s all good to go for this carnival season.
