The G League’s OKC Blue came up short in a 123-102 loss to the Windy City Bulls on Wednesday. The home defeat dropped their record to 4-13 in the regular season.
In this second straight matchup, the Blue had a solid start. They were in a 27-22 deficit after the first quarter. Not bad, considering they were only down a couple of possessions. They showed out for the Tulsa crowd in their annual visit to BOK Center.
The second quarter, though, got ugly. The Blue had 32 points. Most of the time, that’s a high-scoring frame. But it was nullified as Windy City put up an eye-popping 43 points. OKC entered halftime in a 70-54 deficit.
If the Blue wanted to come back, they needed a strong first punch in the second half. Instead, they only had 24 points. That put them in a 91-78 hole. Not totally out of it, OKC had the door slammed in its face in the final frame with just 24 points. It trailed by as many as 26 points.
The Blue shot 40% from the field and went 10-of-37 (27%) from 3. They shot 10-of-12 on free throws. They had 22 assists on 37 baskets. Five Blue players scored double-digit points.

Meanwhile, the Bulls shot 50% from the field and went 16-of-41 (39%) from 3. They shot 10-of-15 on free throws. They had 30 assists on 44 baskets. Five Bulls players scored double-digit points.
