Detroit’s dominant defense has powered them to a top-seed in the Eastern Conference, and will serve them well against the shorthanded Suns tonight.

The Pistons defense is holding opponents to just a 51.6% effective shooting percentage this season. Additionally, they’re fifth in offensive rebounding percentage during the past five games. JB Bickerstaff’s squad is a sparkling 15-6 SU away from home this season, and are in the midst of an 8-2 SU run in which they’re 4-6 ATS. There’s also the fact that the Suns have failed to cover the spread in two straight home games this week.

Crucially, Detroit’s sparking defense is second in opponent turnover percentage at over 17% over their last 10 games, and the Pistons lead the Suns in offensive rebounding percentage in that span as well. Remember, Phoenix will be without the skills of both Devin Booker and Jalen Green tonight, robbing the Suns of their top scorer and ball handler. With Collin Gillespie questionable, they may lack shooting as well.
