The Thunder hit the road for games against Minnesota and the Denver Nuggets after dropping two of three games of a three-game home stand that ended Tuesday night with a 104-95 win over the New Orleans Pelicans. Prior to that, the NBA leaders had lost back-to-back disappointing matchups to the Indiana Pacers (117-114) and Toronto Raptors (103-101) in stumbling to 38-10 on the season. OKC still sits atop the West and owns the best road record (17-5) in the league.
The Timberwolves remain a top-6 team in the West with their 29-19 overall record, which includes back-to-back wins over the Dallas Mavericks (118-105) and Golden State Warriors (108-83) going into Thursday’s matchup. Those victories snapped a run of five straight losses and got Minnesota pointed in the right direction once again. Last time out, the Wolves got 31 points from Julius Randle and beat the Mavs without top scorer and No. 1 draft pick Cooper Flagg Tuesday night in Dallas.
The Thunder and Timberwolves are set for a 9:30 p.m. ET start exclusively on Prime Video, which comes with a free trial for new users.
