LeBron James presented his mother, Gloria, with a special signed jersey following the Los Angeles Lakers’ 129-99 defeat at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday.

“To Mama James, Love you with all my heart & more,” LeBron wrote on the jersey. “Thank you for everything & beyond. YOU’RE INCREDIBLE. #TheRealMVP.”

The Akron, Ohio native finished with 11 points and five assists against the team that he’s spent 11 of his 23 seasons in the NBA with.

Bronny James also saw action against Cleveland, scoring eight points on 3-of-3 shooting in eight minutes on the floor.

LeBron reflected on his mother watching her son and grandson play in the same game after the contest.

“My mom gets to watch her son and her grandson play in the NBA at the same time,” James said, per ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. “I actually just started to think about how insane that is. Yeah, that’s awesome.”

The NBA’s all-time leading scorer has been noncommittal about playing beyond the 2025-26 season, meaning that Wednesday night’s matchup could have represented his last game in Cleveland.
