The Toronto Raptors (+1.5, -108) seek to get back on the winning path Friday night after recently having their four-game winning streak broken in humbling fashion. They’ll be meeting an Orlando Magic (-1.5, -112) team that was just on an opposite trajectory by ending a four-game losing skid on Wednesday.
Here’s an expert pick and player prop for this matchup at the Kia Center on January 30, 2026, including an UNDER on a scoring prop for a rookie big man.

Raptors vs. Magic Expert Pick TonightToronto Raptors ML (+108)
Falling 119-92 at Scotiabank Arena on Wednesday to a tired New York Knicks squad was perhaps eye-opening for the now 29-20 Raptors, who remain winless at 0-6 against two of the three teams (New York and Boston Celtics) ahead of them in the Eastern Conference standings. It further emphasized how badly Toronto needs to add size in its frontcourt ahead of next week’s trade deadline, missing Jakob Poeltl for all but 21 games and watching Karl-Anthony Towns out-rebound its starting frontcourt 22-21. Before that loss, though, the Raptors were sitting pretty coming off a 4-1 Western Conference road trip that concluded with a two-point win over the reigning champion Oklahoma City Thunder. Even with a stretch of three losses in four games from Jan. 12 through Jan. 18, Toronto has dropped consecutive games only once since Dec. 21, and that run of good fortune does include a 107-106 victory over Orlando on Dec. 29.Â
The Magic will continue to be without Franz Wagner on Friday, as he’s still dealing with his recovery from a left ankle injury. They’re 9-11 on the season whenever he’s unavailable, but just 1-4 over the last five games. Orlando is also just 1-3 across its last four home games, and 3-4 in its last seven with three successful covers. They’ve dropped four-straight games to the Raptors dating back to January of last year, as well, and over these last five outings this season, they rank in the bottom-third of the Association in both offense (108.6 points per 100 possessions, 24th) and defense (121.9 points allowed per 100 possessions, 27th).Â
With four-straight wins and covers away from Scotiabank Arena, along with a 16-9 road record in the standings and on the spread, Toronto has enough Animal and Hawk in it (wrestling reference) to continue finding success whenever it’s not north of the border. The Magic’s offense is sputtering without Wagner, and now that the Raptors have RJ Barrett (O14.5 points, -120) back in the fold alongside Scottie Barnes (O18.5 points, -102), Brandon Ingram (O20.5 points, -125), and Immanuel Quickley (O15.5 points, -132), the arsenal the visitors have at their disposal will simply be too much for the home side to keep up with on Friday.
Raptors vs. Magic Prop Tonight Collin Murray-Boyles UNDER 8.5 Points (-102)
Rookie Collin Murray-Boyles returned from a four-game absence due to a sprained thumb on Wednesday versus New York, scoring just four points on two shot attempts in 28 minutes of action. It was an all-around bad performance from Toronto, but the most important takeaway for bettors of Murray-Boyles’ props is that it was his first action with teammate RJ Barrett by his side in the starting lineup since an eight-point loss to the Boston Celtics on Jan. 9. In the last five games as a starter alongside Barrett, Murray-Boyles has gone UNDER 8.5 points on four occasions, averaging 4.25 shot attempts in those four UNDERs.Â
