The Los Angeles Lakers visit the Washington Wizards on Friday, and if you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, money line odds and over/under number, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet.
After winning four of their previous five games, the Lakers lost by 30 points to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday, dropping their record to 28-18. They will look to add another victory to their ledger when they face a Wizards team that is 12-34 and recently lost nine games in a row. Austin Reaves, who has been out for about a month due to a gastrocnemius strain, could make his return on Friday, as he’s listed as questionable.

Lakers: Luka Doncic (left ankle soreness) and Austin Reaves (left calf strain) are questionable. Adou Thiero (right MCL sprain) is out.
Wizards: No injury report has been submitted yet, but Marvin Bagley III (thoracic strain), Tristan Vukcevic (left hamstring strain), Cam Whitmore (right shoulder deep vein thrombosis) and Trae Young (right knee MCL sprain and quad contusion) missed their previous game.
Advice and Prediction:
The Wizards are one of the worst teams in the NBA, and the Lakers need to take full advantage. While they have a solid overall record against sub-.500 teams, they have lost lately to a few such teams, including the Charlotte Hornets, Portland Trail Blazers and Sacramento Kings.
Having Reaves back would greatly help, as his explosive offensive ability can mask some of the major problems the Lakers have had on the defensive end, where they rank 25h in defensive rating. Washington is even worse in that department — it is 29th in defensive rating, as well as 29th in offensive rating.
One thing Washington does do well is protect the rim. It is second in blocked shots per game, thanks largely to center Alex Sarr, who is second in that category individually. He’s also averaging 17.6 points a game, so Deandre Ayton will need to step things up and deliver more than he has lately on both ends of the floor.
We’re picking the Lakers to win this one without too much trouble.
Prediction: Lakers 121, Wizards 110
