Jaylen Brown has been unstoppable this season. From scoring across all three levels to shutting down opposing teams’ best players, the Boston Celtics All-Star is doing it all. What’s even more impressive is that Brown is having this type of season during a “gap year” where there are multiple young and inexperienced players in the second unit, and Jayson Tatum is sidelined with injury.
When you look at the impact Brown has made for Boston, it’s no surprise to see him in the MVP conversation. After all, without him, the Celtics are highly unlikely to be sitting third in the Eastern Conference with the All-Star break fast approaching.
In a recent episode of “The Dunker Spot” podcast, Nekias Duncan and Steve Jones dove into the game tape to explore how and why Brown is playing at such an elite level. They detail the overall evolution in Brown’s game and raise the question of whether he could help lead the Celtics back to the NBA Finals.
