Bronny James thrilled fans with some high-flying garbage time fun in the nation’s capital.
The Los Angeles Lakers guard got some burn late in his team’s blowout win over the Washington Wizards at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. With just over three minutes left in the contest, James got a clear runway on a fastbreak opportunity and took flight.

The emphatic flush extended the Lakers’ lead to 134-106. But one could have easily mistaken Friday’s contest for a close game based on the crowd’s excitement alone. It’s even more amusing when you consider that Bronny riled up a crowd located nearly 2,700 miles from the Lakers’ home arena.
James tried to throw one down another time a few minutes later, but Wizards veteran Anthony Gill spoiled the party with a hard foul.

James finished with 4 points across 5 minutes in the Lakers’ 142-111 victory.
James has oftentimes looked more like a sideshow act than a solid contributor in his sophomore campaign. That seemed to hold true against the Wizards. He entered the contest averaging 1.7 points, 0.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists on 37.2% shooting from the field.
Bronny missed his first free throw of the year on Friday after coming into the game with a perfect 2/2 season clip from the charity stripe.
