The NBA has suspended Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George for 25 games “for violating the terms of the NBA/NBPA Anti-Drug Program,” the league announced Saturday.

George’s suspension begins with Saturday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

The nine-time All-Star is averaging 16.0 points and 3.7 assists while shooting 42.4 percent from the field in his second season with Philadelphia.
