The Grizzlies are coming off a 114-106 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday, dropping to 3-10 in January. They led for most of the first half but were outscored 35-15 in the third quarter and trailed for the rest of the game, resulting in their fifth straight loss.

The Timberwolves knocked off the Oklahoma City Thunder 123-111 on Thursday for their third consecutive victory. The group led for the entire game after shooting 50.6% from the field, sending the Thunder to their first wire-to-wire loss since Feb. 10, 2024.

Anthony Edwards produced 26 points, five rebounds and five assists to lead the way, while Jaden McDaniels scored 21 points and Naz Reid had 18 points and seven rebounds. Edwards has now scored at least 20 points in 20 straight games, the longest regular-season streak of his career.
