Charlotte Hornets rookie Liam McNeeley registered his seventh 20-point outing in the G League on Friday, helping lead the Greensboro Swarm in a home loss to the Windy City Bulls.

McNeeley finished with 22 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals in the 115-110 loss at the Novant Health Fieldhouse. He went 8-of-15 from the field, including 2-of-4 from 3-point range, in 34 minutes as the Swarm dropped to 10-5 in the regular season.

The 29th overall pick scored 10 points in the third quarter alone, assisting the Swarm in outscoring the Bulls 41-21 in the period. He dazzled with his playmaking in the open court, while also mixing in some long-range 3-pointers throughout the contest.

McNeeley has played sporadically with the Hornets, averaging 4.1 points and 2.1 rebounds in 28 games. The team has periodically assigned him to the Swarm to log extended playing time and work on various aspects of his game on the court.

The 20-year-old McNeeley is averaging 21.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.2 assists on 47.1% shooting from the field in 11 games with the Swarm. He is 25th in scoring average among players with at least 10 appearances in the G League this season.

McNeeley has played at a high level with the Swarm, showcasing his playmaking and scoring. The organization has liked the way he has performed and will continue to explore opportunities for him in the G League as part of his development plan.
