On Thursday, the South Bay Lakers hosted the Salt Lake City Stars at UCLA Health Training Center and logged a 125-118 victory. On Saturday, both teams faced off again in El Segundo, Calif., as the Lakers looked to win their fourth game in a row.
From the beginning, this game was no contest. South Bay scored the first nine points of the game and went ahead 42-24 at the end of the first quarter. At the end of the third quarter, it led by 40 points, and its lead grew as large as a whopping 50 points in the fourth period. From there, the team glided to a 146-104 victory thanks to some sizzling offensive play.

The Lakers shot 62.6% from the field and went 17-of-33 from 3-point range while dishing off 39 assists and putting up 27 fast-break points. Meanwhile, they held Salt Lake City to just 38.9% field-goal shooting and 22.6% from downtown.
R.J. Davis had a fantastic outing with 45 points on 15-of-22 overall shooting and 6-of-9 from 3-point land, to go along with eight assists. Kobe Bufkin turned in 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting while also contributing eight assists, and Augustas Marčiulionis had 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting off the bench.
This victory put the Lakers in fourth place in the Western Conference with a 9-6 record.
