The Sixers’ star duo didn’t make the cut for the 2026 All-Star Game.

Joel Embiid was not one of the seven Eastern Conference reserves announced Sunday night, meaning Tyrese Maxey is set to be the Sixers’ lone All-Star as things stand. NBA commissioner Adam Silver will choose any injury replacements.

The league’s head coaches selected the following players from the East:

Donovan Mitchell

Jalen Johnson

Karl-Anthony Towns

Pascal Siakam

Norman Powell

Scottie Barnes

Jalen Duren

Johnson, Powell and Duren are all All-Stars for the first time. Embiid has earned seven All-Star nods, which is two behind Sixers icon Allen Iverson.

The 31-year-old big man had built a good case with his recent play. He scored a season-high 40 points Saturday night in the Sixers’ win over the Pelicans and averaged 29.7 in January. Embiid’s played in 28 games for the 27-21 Sixers — already nine more than last season — and posted 26.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.1 blocks per contest. He’s been a far healthier, more consistently great player than even he expected.

The seven Western Conference reserves are:

Deni Avdija

Chet Holmgren

Devin Booker

LeBron James

Kevin Durant

Jamal Murray

Anthony Edwards

The 2026 All-Star Game is scheduled for Feb. 15 at Intuit Dome, which is the first stop on the Sixers’ upcoming five-game West Coast road trip. The team has six games to go before the All-Star break.
