OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City Thunder’s Chet Holmgren has been named a 2026 NBA All-Star.
While this is the seventh OKC Thunder player to receive the honor, this is a first for Holmgren. The Thunder is one of three teams in the Western Conference to feature multiple All-Star selections this season.
Since the start of this season, the OKC Thunder forward/center has played in 43 games as a starter. Holmgren was named the Western Conference Defensive Player of the Month for games played in December and has helped his team gain the best defensive rating in the NBA for the current season.
The NBA All-Star game will take place in Los Angeles at the Inuit Dome on Sunday, Feb. 15. The game will have a new format where two teams of U.S. players and one team of international players will compete in a round-robin tournament, featuring four 12-minute games.
