All the progress Northwestern made over its trip to California and against Penn State fell apart versus Washington in a 76-62 loss on Saturday night. The rebounding and 3-point shooting problems that had plagued the Wildcats (10-12, 2-9 Big Ten) all season reemerged versus the Huskies (12-10, 4-7 Big Ten), who outrebounded NU 34-21. After 12 games in a row with 20 or more points, senior forward Nick Martinelli fell short while three Washington players hit that mark. In an attempt to get even with an in-state rival, the ’Cats will travel to No. 9 Illinois on Wednesday and try to right the ship.
