Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves marked their fourth straight win on Saturday. They defeated the Memphis Grizzlies in a blowout, 131-114. The Wolves improved to 31-19 on the season after another victory.
Edwards had another big night. He went off for a game-high 33 points on 9-of-21 shooting, to go along with two rebounds, three assists, a steal, one block and a three-pointer in 39 minutes of action.

Edwards, however, is now dealing with an injury. According to the Wolves, the three-time All-Star is nursing a back issue, which has cast serious doubt on his status for their next game.

Minnesota will be looking to make it five in a row on Monday in a rematch against the Grizzlies. Saturday’s contest was played in Minnesota, but the Wolves will be on the road at FedExForum for Monday’s game.
The Wolves submitted their injury report ahead of the matchup and there is some concerning news on Edwards. The 24-year-old is experiencing back spasms and is officially questionable to play against Memphis on Monday.

Edwards has played three straight games for the Timberwolves since sitting out last Monday against the Golden State Warriors. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard missed that game due to a foot injury, although that was also the second night of a back-to-back set for Minnesota.
According to Wolves reporter Dane Moore, Edwards was grabbing at his lower back for most of Saturday’s game against Memphis. When asked about the issue after the game, Edwards admitted that it was bothering him. However, the former Georgia Bulldogs star also claimed that it was not a big deal.

Edwards dealt with back spasms at the start of the season, and the injury may have resurfaced. If he is unable to play on Monday, more minutes should be available for Bones Hyland and Jaylen Clark.
Julius Randle, who has not missed a single game all season long, has also been added to the injury report. The two-time All-NBA power forward is dealing with a thumb injury and could sit out as well.
