NBC is debuting “Basketball Night in America” ahead of its “Sunday Night Basketball” doubleheader featuring LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers visiting Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder traveling to Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets.
NBC lined up the big guns for the pregame show. Indiana Fever superstar and Iowa alumna Caitlin Clark will join NBC as a special contributor for “Basketball Night in America” alongside host Maria Taylor and analysts Carmelo Anthony, Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady, all Naismith Basketball Hall of Famers.
Clark, a two-time WNBA All-Star and the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, has averaged 18.5 points, 8.5 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game across 53 games in her professional career. The 6-foot guard has shot 40.5% from the field and 32.9% from 3-point range in the WNBA.

The studio’s coverage will begin at 5 p.m. CT ahead of the Lakers at Knicks, which will tip off at 6 p.m. CT on NBC and Peacock.
Clark will return in the same role on Sunday, March 29 at 6:30 p.m. CT at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City when the Oklahoma City Thunder host Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks.
