The Miami Heat are among the teams that have shown concrete interest in trading for Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. There have been many packages from the Heat, but they don’t want to include one player.
That player is Pelle Larsson, who has been one of the breakout players for Erik Spoelstra’s system this season. The Heat would prefer to keep him, even in the Antetokounmpo sweepstakes.
Larsson could be the swinging piece in the Antetokounmpo sweepstakes
Larsson is one of the Heat’s best players this season. He is averaging 10.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. He is comfortably a role player, but he is one of the best pieces that can be a good piece alongside stars.
Considering the Heat want Antetokounmpo, Larsson is the type of player who will be a good fit alongside him. The Heat know that, but the Bucks or other teams that want to be involved would probably want Larsson.

While Larsson won’t be 100% untouchable, the Heat would prefer to keep him. With players like Bam Adebayo and Norman Powell already standing out for the Heat, role players like Larsson and Jaime Jaquez Jr. will be valuable.
“I’ve heard the only player they prefer to keep out of the trade is Pelle, but that’s more roster construction-related than overvaluing him. They will trade anybody for Giannis. Except Bam, but that’s because they don’t have to,” Five On The Floor’s Greg Sylvander said on their Discord channel.
Moving forward, Larsson will probably be an important player to track. Other teams would likely ask for him in the Antetokounmpo sweepstakes, but the Heat will find ways to keep him out of the trades as much as possible.
With his reliable shooting, defense, and hustle, Larsson could be the right player for any team. The Heat know they want him to stay because he is a fantastic player.
