Charlotte (23-28) defeated New Orleans (13-39), 102-95, on Monday at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Former Vol Grant Williams played 20 minutes for the Hornets and scored 16 points. He converted 5-of-7 field goal attempts, 2-of-4 three-point attempts and 4-of-4 free throw attempts. The former Vol also totaled nine rebounds and one assist.

Williams played at Tennessee from 2016-19. He was a two-time SEC Player of the Year and was a 2019 NCAA unanimous first team All-American. 

On May 17, 2019, Williams announced he would forgo his senior season and enter the NBA draft. He was selected by Boston in the first round of the 2019 NBA draft (No. 22 overall).

Williams appeared in 104 games, including 101 starts, for the Vols. He averaged 15.7 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.
