Indiana men’s basketball (15-7, 6-5 Big Ten) is set to take on USC (16-6, 5-6 Big Ten) in a late night road matchup as it looks to extend its winning streak into February.
The Hoosiers’ last outing was a 98-97 thriller of a double overtime win at UCLA just across town. Indiana looked to have the game in the bag up late in regulation before a series of mistakes and poor inbounding let UCLA come all the way back and force overtime. It’s worth wondering if an extra ten minutes of basketball will wear at all a few days later.
The Trojans’ last outing was also weird, beating Rutgers 78-75 while managing to hold off a late comeback effort. This is a USC team looking to finish above water in Big Ten play with its leader, Rodney Rice, out with a season ending injury since November.
This is Indiana’s first trip out to Los Angeles since UCLA and USC joined the league and its looking to go 2-0.
